It is a great pleasure to welcome everyone to this evening’s Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Award Ceremony.

On behalf of the residents of New York City, I congratulate the restaurants, their owners and hard working staffs upon being recognized here this evening. You each are making important contributions to your communities and I recognize your commitment to providing your customers with high-quality food and service.

In addition, I recognize Chinese Restaurant News for making tonight’s gala dinner possible. You have been a tremendous source of support for Chinese American business owners and this is a wonderful way to recognize the nation’s best restaurants. Our City is proud of the amazing Chinese food found throughout the five boroughs and we are delighted to be a part of this inaugural event.

I also hope all our City’s guests have a wonderful time exploring some of our City’s outstanding cultural and social offerings, including our many great restaurants, theater productions and historical landmarks. Please accept my best wishes for an enjoyable evening and fun-filled stay in the Big Apple.
