As New York becomes the first city to ban trans fats, this is a prime opportunity for Chinese restaurants to showcase the healthy aspects of Chinese cuisine. Organized by Chinese Restaurant News and co-hosted by Chefs Martin Yan and Lee Anne Wong, the 4th annual Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in USA Awards Ceremony will take place on November 11th at 2:30pm at the Cultural Food New York, a two-day professional tradeshow showcasing Asian, Hispanic and Kosher food and beverages at the Jacob Javits Convention Center .  The Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in USA Award is a national event that strives to recognize, cultivate and preserve the best in Chinese cuisine standards and excellence, which has become a part of 's daily dining scene.

This year, the Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in the USA Awards come together with Chinese chefs, Chinese restaurateurs from across the nation to encourage Chinese restaurants nationwide to provide healthier dining options.   In addition to cuisine and restaurant recognition, this year’s competition has also added a Mystery Diner program. The winners are chosen from AboutFace’s Mystery Diner program which makes anonymous visits and evaluations of each candidate restaurant, as well as from direct votes from diners and the public at large.  In an effort to promote healthy dining in Chinese restaurants, the Nutrition-Friendly Menu category has also been added to the competition. 

The Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in the USA Awards is also being supported by National Restaurants Association and have partnered with HealthDiningFinder.com.
