Denver's Empress named 6th-best U.S. Chinese restaurant
Denver's Empress Dim Sum Seafood Restaurant has been ranked as the sixth-best Chinese
restaurant in America by Chinese Restaurant News magazine.
The magazine's Top 100 Chinese Restaurants USA Awards were announced publicly Wednesday and were presented Jan. 5 at an industry event in Las Vegas.
The awards are based on "mystery diner" evaluations and public votes. Restaurants are rated on cuisine, décor and atmosphere, service, cleanliness and presentation.
Koi Palace in Daly City, Calif., near San Francisco, topped the contest's "overall excellence" list.
Saigon Landing in Evergreen was No. 28 on the list. Hunan Imperial in Evans was No. 54.
Ranked on a separate list of top 11 regional Chinese cuisines were Canton Palace in Loveland,China Jade in Aurora and Super Star Asian Cuisine in Denver.
