Presenting the best of Chinese & Asian cuisines to the American and Canadian public.

Overall Criteria for Contesting Candidates
All restaurant candidates must meet the following guidelines to qualify for the competition:
- At least 50% of the menu items must be related to Chinese cuisine.
- For Asian-themed restaurants category, at least 50% of the menu items must be related to Chinese cuisine.
- Must have been in business for a minimum of 2 years (with the exception of Top 100 Rising Stars).

Awards Categories
The Top 100 Chinese restaurants with highest scores will win the Top 100 Overall Excellence Award. We recognize Top 100 Asian-themed restaurants in USA, Canada, and Australia with highest scores as Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in USA/Canada/Australia Award, and Dining Excellence in Asian Cuisine Award.

The additional categories that candidates can compete for include the following:

Category Definitions
*Top 100 Chinese Restaurants (Overall Excellence) in USA/Canada/Australia Restaurants with the highest overall score include the following criteria:
- Food: The critical factors are consistency, quality, taste and variety.
- Décor and atmosphere: Based on restaurant type: family-style, upscale, buffet, take-out, specialtheme, and chains.
- Service: Customer satisfaction, friendliness, and efficiency are some important factors.
- Cleanliness and presentation: The dining room, kitchen, and restrooms are evaluated. Restaurant candidates are judged for their level of compliance with the health department.
- Value: Res taurant s wi l l be recognized for outstanding offerings under optimum costs.

*Top 100 Asian Restaurants (Dining Excellence) Successful Asians restaurants bring out the best “truly Asia” dish when it comes to taste and authenticity. This category focuses restaurants that serve Asian menus with influenced flavors, tastes, and presentation of Asian cuisines other than Chinese.
