Richmond fusion restaurant wins award for Canada

Richmond's Delizia Fusion Cuisine restaurant has captured the Overall Excellence Award for Canada at the Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Competition.
The awards ceremony was held Jan. 8 to 10 in San Francisco.
Delizia Fusion Cuisine opened in the fall of 2010, boasting signature dishes of Sustainable Live Lobster, New Zealand Blue Abalone and Sea Urchins, along with its Health Smart menu.
The restaurant, located at 2150-8391 Alexandra Rd., is owned by the husband-and-wife team of chef Eddie Li and Irene Hui.
This is the seventh year for the Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Competition. To be nominated for an award, a restaurant must feature a menu with at least half its items related to Chinese cuisine.
Three other BC restaurants were recognized, placing in the top-100 Asian restaurants for dining excellence.
