Dear Mr. Yu:

It is with regret that I will not be able to join you this year for the 2005 Top 100 Chinese Restaurants awards ceremony. The National Restaurant Association extends its best wishes and congratulations to this year’s award recipients and to Chinese Restaurant News for holing this event to recognize the talents of the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the country.
Eating out is part of Americans’ daily lifestyles and within the $476 billion restaurant industry in the United States, Chinese cuisine makes up a significant portion of our growing restaurant-and-hospitality industry. With the continuing popularity of ethnic cuisines, more and more flavors from around the world are satisfying Americans’ sophisticated palates and becoming mainstream, including Chinese and Asian-Fusion cuisines. This movement can certainly be attributed to the success of tonight’s top 100 Chinese Restaurant award winners.

The National Restaurant Association salutes tonight’s winners for their overall business excellence, superior presentation and ingredients, and delighting their guests on a daily basis. Best wishes for continued success and prosperity!
